CONNECTING YOUR LIFE - CORONA VIRUS

In response to the COVID-19 corona virus threat, we have developed the following strategy:

Local schools have followed the recommendations of the CDC and our government by moving to an at-home online-based learning experience until they are cleared to return to normal school operations.

We are currently working with the South Sanpete School District to provide internet services to those who have been affected by the move to online learning during this time of crisis. This program is intended to assist those who are in need and have students enrolled in any of the local schools. If you fall into this category, we can provide you with free internet service during this period of home-based schooling.

We will also provide Free Wi-Fi coverage at various locations in Manti, Ephraim, and Sterling including Manti City Park, Manti Aquatic Center, Sanpete County Fairgrounds, Manti Baseball Fields, Sterling Town Park, Ephraim Ball Park, and Ephraim Canyon View Park. We remind anyone using these Free Wi-Fi areas to maintain the recommended social distancing practices to help prevent the spread of the corona virus. For more information about our Free Wi-Fi coverage area, please visit www.manti.com/freewifi.

For others who already have internet or do not have an enrolled student but still have a need for assistance, we will work with you on a case-by-case basis.

Furthermore, we have joined many other Internet Service Providers across the country in taking the FCC’s Keep America Connected Pledge which states:

Given the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on American society, Manti Telecommunications pledges for the next 60 days to: (1) not terminate service to any residential or small business customers because of their inability to pay their bills due to the disruptions caused by the coronavirus pandemic; (2) waive any late fees that any residential or small business customers incur because of their economic circumstances related to the coronavirus pandemic; and (3) open its Wi-Fi hotspots to any American who needs them.

Because we are in the service industry, we have taken the approach of “business-as-usual” during this pandemic. Our offices currently remain open and our employees are hard at work to maintain the level of customer service that our customers have enjoyed prior to this pandemic. To help keep both our customers and our employees safe, we request the following:

  • Please refer to the support section of our website (www.manti.com/support) if possible before requesting technical support. Many issues can be resolved with the information provided there.
  • If you still need technical support, please allow us to try to help you over the phone first before we send a technician to your house or business.
  • If you or any member of your household is sick or may be contagious, please let us know before we come to your house for a service call or install.
  • Because of the seriousness of this pandemic, we reserve the right to postpone service calls and installs until we feel it is safe to enter a household.

We would also like to thank our local businesses and sponsors who help make our Free Wi-Fi coverage possible. There is no better time to shop local and support our local businesses than now. We are all in this together. Thanks to Security National Mortgage, Ephraim Ambulance, Custom Electrical Service, Mid-Utah Radio, Risk Managers LLC, Jorgensen Chevrolet, Los Amigos, Big G Automotive, Manti City, Cache Valley Bank, Candies on Main, and our other great local businesses.

Once again - we love our customers, our community, our neighbors, our friends, and our family. We are committed to help wherever and however we can. This is not a time for panic. We believe that if the proper precautions are taken, we will get through this pandemic and return to our normal lives. Until then, we are here for our community and we will continue to Connect Your Life.

UPDATE: Our Coronavirus Relief program will end tentatively on May 31, 2020. If you are currently receiving the Free Internet under this program, you will need to decide if you would like to keep using the service. If so, please let our Customer Service Reps know by calling 435-835-2929 to discuss payment options. If you decide you no longer need the service, please let us know so we can come pick up our equipment. We hope this program has been of help during this historic pandemic. Thank you and be safe!
