Our first ever Connection Your Life Basketball Shoot-Out was a success!

During the Manti vs. Gunnison Varsity Boys Basketball game there was an epic half-time battle between Jorgensen Chevrolet of Ephraim and Freedom Ford of Gunnison. It was a shoot-out to end all shoot-outs as Ford went head-to-head against Chevy – but in the end the true winner was the Sanpete Pantry. The fundraising event raised just under $1200 (after matching funds from an anonymous donor) and 160 lbs. of food…all of which went directly to the Sanpete Pantry.

Our slogan is “Connecting Your Life” and that’s exactly what we were able to do with this event. We Connected two companies (Freedom Ford and Jorgensen Chevrolet) in a basketball shoot-out to help benefit another company (Sanpete Pantry). The Sanpete Pantry in turn Connects with hundreds of families in Sanpete County who struggle to put food on their tables. We then were able to Connect the Sanpete Pantry with the dozens of people who generously donated to this event. You can see how the chain progresses and Connects our Lives!

We would like to thank everyone involved, including: Freedom Ford, Jorgensen Chevrolet, Mid-Utah Radio, J.D. Fox, I-Four Media, Sanpete Messenger, Hermansen’s Hardware, Sanpete Pantry, Manti High School, Gunnison Valley High School, and everyone who donated their time, food, or money.
